How is night differential pay calculated in the Philippines?

For covered employees, night shift differential is generally an additional 10% of the regular hourly wage for work performed between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM, subject to applicable rules and exceptions.

Example: At a regular hourly rate of ₱100, the additional night differential for two qualifying regular work hours would be ₱20 (₱100 × 10% × 2).

This is a simplified example, not a complete payroll computation. Overtime, holiday and rest-day rules may change the calculation. Verify the current DOLE rules and your employee's coverage.
